I knew as soon as I read the opening quote from Jagger/Richards
I was going to enjoy this book on many levels. I have repeated
those lines to myself many times over the years as a kind of
personal mantra. I am also an avid follower of Michael Newton's
work and have read all of his books. As someone trying to summon
up the courage to do an LBL regression for some time, I welcomed
this most personal account of Richard Martini's journey in finding
answers to his own life's purpose. While Newton's books provided
groundbreaking research in enlightening us about our Life Between
Lives, this book provided a more thorough context. Here we see
what led the author to not only Newton's work, but chronicles
his own LBL session with more continuity than any of the LBL
sessions that we read about. But this is only part of the rich
narrative of Martini's life. I loved the humor and the promise
of more (this is Vol. 1). I am also looking forward to the
promised documentary.
Best 'read' in a long time!,

Rich Martini takes us along on his own quest for self discovery. Along the way he regales
us with many (sometimes hilarious) anecdotes on the part that sychronicity played in his
discovery. Chapter upon chapter we are given the very real and descriptive expirience of
LBL (life between lives) sessions as told by the facilitators and the persons undergoing
the journey, his own sessions included. He brings to life the same things spoken of in
Michael Newtons books about this subject. It is not a 'scientific' book of dry
facts/figures/names/dates. It is ALIVE with the most fabulous energy of his own
sense of wonder and joy.. taking us along on the ride of his life. I couldn't put it
down! I just loved this book!

Wow..this book came into my life just as I was finishing the fourth book associated with
Michael Newton and I was agonizing over not having anything more to read - I was voracious in my need to read read read about Past Life Regressions, Life Between Life Regressions and all things of this nature. Rich's book is the PERFECT book to read after reading the Newton books..it's sort of a continuation or addendum to all of Michael's books and also from a slightly different point of view. Reading interviews with some of the therapists is so good for me as I approach the time of my own LBL which I am so excited about.
I'm only through about 5 chapters so far and I felt compelled to write this review.
I will add to it as I go further in the book. I love Rich's writing style - sort of a combination of journalist and author - documenter and participator. 5.0 out of 5 stars
Flipside flipped my mind!!,

Anyone on a spiritual quest to heal themselves and find out why they may be havingrecurring issues in this life MUST read this book!! It came to me at the most synchronistic time and I couldn't put it down. Rich is a wonderful writer who brings sensitivity, insight and depth to this subject. It really got me thinking in new ways and I'm going to schedule a LBL session as soon as possible. I cannot recommend this book highly enough! Anyone seeking answers and not finding it in traditional therapy or self help methods should consider this a true gift from beyond. Thank you, Rich, for sharing this important information and bringing it to light. TRULY AMAZING!!

Finished the book this morning and absolutely loved it. Definitely spoke to me.
I typically don't read books like this and mostly shy away from the metaphysical stuff
(even tough I lived in Sedona). It's mostly due to ignorance, fear and to try to sweep
spiritual experiences I've had under the rug. Not to mention, I'm not a reader.
This book spoke to me, validated me.... and truly life changing.
Thank you for sharing your experiences in this book. Be open. Today may be the day
your meant to read this.

Honestly, when I wrote THE BOYFRIEND TEST, I forgot to think about what role ourperspective mates had in our past lives. Rich's thought=provoking book shows me that what a boyfriend candidate does on a first date might be less important than what he did to us in the middle ages. Who knows? - Dr. Wendy Walsh

Martini's book is deeply thought provoking, poignant and at moments simply profound. He brings the gift of a great story teller to the table and oh what a story he tells! Like him, I'm a skeptic. But he does a better job, than any book that I've ever read, on bringing "structure" and clarity of thought to what happens next. To the extent there's science around what happens to us when we die, Martini tries to capture it. At a minimum, he's able to communicate common threads that'll force even the most jaded among us to ponder - what if.

Disclaimer: Everything below is just MHO.First Thank you Rich for this wonderful personal account of LBL! Another reviewer (afterlifer) recommended Michael Newton's books over yours. So I bought his "Memories of the Afterlife", as well. I just finished your book and have started his. Reincarnation Personally, I don't believe in reincarnation as popularly presented. Flipside and LBL more closely touch upon my beliefs and the Seven trilogy. That said, those who do believe should find Flipside a rewarding experience. The concepts of "lateral time and multiverses", although only hinted in your book, broaden my perspective of incarnation and LBL. LBL "LBL", or "Life Between Lives", is too limited as your book shows repeatedly. More precise would be "LWL", or "Lives Within Life". As you show, with yourself and others, we exist (live) continuously outside and inside our incarnations. Personal Stories I have a scientific and spiritual background. Thus, like a lot of us, I go between rigorous skeptic and devotee. Your early presentation of Michael Newton's 7000 case studies really satisfied my scientific skeptic, and paved the way for fully enjoying the stories of your adventures, and the stories of others you shared. Unconditional Love Perhaps the most poignant component of Flipside is the role of compassion and unconditional love. Over and over you demonstrate the fundamental nature of these within our Lives. The stories repeatedly demonstrate the dynamics of them, and how they obviate any fundamental need for forgiveness. Like, we don't need to forgive the sun for being hot or the scorpion for being a scorpion. Required Reading I chose to read your book, Flipside, before reading Michael's "Memories of the Afterlife". I just started reading Michael's book and the reason why I chose yours first became obvious. In Michael's introduction he writes in a more formal style. I wanted the informal personal interaction first before the formal, and your personal adventures provided that for me. Were I presenting a course on LWL, Flipside would be the first book on the reading list. The rest of the list would derive from your Recommendations in the back. I will be recommending Flipside to friends and relatives. Tops my Xmas gift list. Thanks Again You have provided humanity with a marvelous opportunity for self-awareness with Flipside. Thank you with all my heart and soul. Mahalo Nui Loa and Aloha from Hawaii, Al |
