Coast to Coast Tues 9-11 from 11 pm to 2 am

I think I might have been driving from SF to LA one night and in Fresno, tuned into George Noory's "Coast to Coast AM"  -- I know it was a show that was either out there, or almost out there, and when I got an email the other day asking if I'd like to come on the show and speak about "Flipside" - I thought - "well there you go."  Here's what they have on their site already:
 Tue 09-11  Navigating the Afterlife

But on the other hand, I tuned into the show a few nights ago, and listened to this guy describe something that really wasn't very believable.  And after George asked him a few questions, he took phone calls - and there were people calling in around the globe talking about the same problem this guy was having.  And at some point I realized I had gone from skeptic to skept....  I wasn't convince it was actually real, but I was convinced it was worth looking into...

Which is the experience you're going to have tuning in to listen to me speak about "Flipside: a Tourist's Guide on How to Navigate the Afterlife" on 9-11-12 from 11 am to 2 am east coast time (if this link fails, just search for "flipside" "martini" "amazon".  I'm also going to talk about my film "Earhart's Electra: Eyewitness Reports on What Happened to Amelia Earhart's plane." (website is earhartmovie.com - if this fails just search for "earhart" "martini" "electra")

I don't think you have to tune into the site at that very moment - or go to your local radio show - they put all the shows up online, so if you want to wait a couple of years before hearing it, be my guest.

At this point, I'm not even sure I can stay up past midnight any more (ah, those days of all nighters in college!), and if you hear me breathing heavily into the phone, please think WAKE UP RICH.

I'm flattered to be invited, I think to myself - ok, having written for Variety, Premiere, Inc.com - having written and directed a number of feature films - what the heck am I doing on Coast to Coast?  I guess you'll have to tune in to fine out.

Best,

Rich

  1. I can totally buy into reincarnation. No problem. But your reasons to justify intense human suffering sounds like utter bullshit to me. What is the stupid point of a life to experience pain, terror, depression, cruelty, abuse? People are hurting themselves and others due to suffering! Why come here to earth and lower our vibrations to dense states of hate, anger and fear when our natural state is LOVE? Huh? It semms like a HUGE waste of time. Why unlearn love? It's just stupid. We could all be here just spreading more love, feeling good with each other, building community - but NO! We come here kill, attack, brutalize and this is for our enlightenment? Like I said: Bullshit. Someone's got this very backwards however you want to try spinning it. And by the way I have ZERO connection to my so-called tribe. I don't relate to, resonate with, respect or love my family. They are a bunch of small-minded people afraid of truth and love. I knew from a young ago I didn't feel comfortable around them. But you want me to believe I keep reincarnating with them? For what? Why? We don't even speak or interact. We have nothing in common. There's nothing to say, but you say I'm going to keep reincarnating with them? Why? So we don't speak again? Hah. Where's the learning there? Uh-huh. Sure. *rolling eyes* I haven't even asked you about how humans actively harm the environment and planet. Explain that stupidity. You can't.

    1. thanks for listening in Biting Cloud. You reminded me to say that I'm not a philosopher, or religious person, I'm just a filmmaker reporting what people are saying about the afterlife while under deep hypnosis. Don't shoot the messenger as they say - I can fully appreciate that it's hard to hear what these folks are saying, I can only point you to Michael Newton's books on the topic, and my own, which includes a number of full transcripts of sessions so you can see for yourself what they are saying.

  2. Dear Mr. Martini,

Years ago, on Saturday evenings, I used to study the Japanese language and culture at a small private Japanese language school in San Francisco. After class my classmates and I would head for the Japanese bars in Japan Town eager to practice our newfound language skills with the Japanese bartenders.

One afternoon - I think it was about 1987 or 1988 - we were imbibing in copious amounts of that delicious pilsner brew known as Sapporo beer. At the far end of the bar sat an elderly Alglo-Saxon gentlemen who was gracious enough to engage in a conversation with us. I asked him where he learned to speak such excellent Japanese. He then began to tell us that his ex wife was from Saipan and then he brought up the topic of Amelia Earhart. "Everyone in Saipan knows what happened to her" he said. At this point we sobered up a bit and began to listen more intently. "It's no secret in Saipan" he continued. "O.K., What? What happened?" someone exclaimed.

The gentleman then went on to explain that Amelia Earhart was forced to land by the Japanese and that her plane did not crash. When the Japanese military discovered that there were cameras aboard her plane they tortured her to death for spying on Japanese military installations. Unfortunately, that's all I remember of that conversation. But I will never forget our chance encounter with that elderly gentleman on that evening in San Francisco's Japan Town.

    1. Thanks for this. I know we didn't talk much about it - just a small segment, but I've done the research, and scoured the records and found what I have found. My film is eyewitness reports - and over 200 have been reported by Fred Georner, Oliver Knaggs and others. But these are US Veterans, and I just let them speak for themselves.
